Did You Do Open Enrollment? Your New Medical ID Cards are on the Way!
Updated On: Jan 29, 2017
PLYMOUTH MEETING – (01/27/2017) If you participated in open enrollment last year and have not yet received a medical ID card, this message is for you:
This is an important message from Wendell W. Young, IV and the UFCW Local 1776 Health and Welfare Fund about your Independence Blue Cross medical coverage.
IBC has confirmed that your new Medical ID cards were mailed to you yesterday, January 26,2017 and should be arriving shortly. In the meantime, if you need medical services before your new ID card arrives, you should advise your physician to confirm your coverage using your current individual identification or subscriber number.
Your individual identification or subscriber number has not changed. You are now also able to view and print a temporary ID card via the IBC member portal by logging on to www.ibx.com, register with a user name and password and log in. At the middle of the Welcome page, click on “View/Share ID Card”.
IF YOU HAVE ANY DIFFICULTY GETTING ACCESS TO MEDICAL CARE, PLEASE CONTACT THE FUND OFFICE AT 610-941-9400 OR 800-458-8618 TO INTERCEDE WITH INDEPENDENCE BLUE CROSS TO CORRECT YOUR ISSUE.
Once your new ID card arrives, please review the information to ensure that you’re assigned to the physician of your choice. Should your card have an incorrect physician group shown, please call the Fund Office to help make the necessary corrections and get a new card issued for you.
As always, should you have any questions or experience difficulties, please contact the Fund Office at 610-941-9400 or 800-458-8618.
